With AMP available in Gmail, the users will be able to perform web-based tasks right from their inbox. For example, you want to respond to edit in Google Doc or maybe fill out some forms – do it straight away without leaving your Gmail.
Currently, the feature will be available for Gmail on the web only but the company claims to launch similar facilities for the mobile app users in the near future.
Many users have already seen AMP for Gmail in action before the full roll out. This is because . These included Booking.com, OYO Rooms, Pinterest, redBus, Doodle, Freshworks, Nexxt, and many others. However, before being cleared for AMP support, Google conducts a privacy and security assessment of each partner.
The AMP-supported Gmail would be a welcoming addition, especially for the users who don’t like too many opened tabs on their browsers. In fact, it will be a useful and time-saving feature for users like us who will be able to change hotel reservations or edit documents through the email.
